AC Shadows Reveals Surprising Attack on Titan Event for Thanksgiving
In a unexpected collaboration that challenges conventional expectations, the game developer has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Disclosed
According to the authorized statement, "An unusual encounter pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of forbidden rituals and fearsome transformations resonate through the darkness." The plot introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a hidden sect.
The questline centers on "peculiar experiments and a fearsome foe" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Changes
The preview features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer concludes with a dramatic scene showing a character, presumably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Prizes and Additional Features
Players who finish the adventure will obtain an special katana in addition to numerous items secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
