European Leaders Condemn US Move as ‘Coercion’
European leaders including the French president accused the US administration of “bullying and threats”, after the travel bans targeted figures who have been central to campaigns to enact laws governing American tech companies.
“For far too long, European activists have led coordinated campaigns to pressure US companies to suppress US perspectives they disagree with,” stated the US secretary of state online. “This government will no longer tolerate these egregious acts of censorship beyond its borders.”

Nations including Germany, Spain, and the UK, alongside numerous EU representatives joined the French president in criticizing the move.
