This incident resulted in the partial shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park.

An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions come after a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, two women had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault near the scene. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people hurt by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
